Memo Publishing is my first permanent job upon graduation in graphic design.
Memo Publishing is a specialist publishing agency and design studio for quality-driven work for all types of publications including magazines, books, catalogs, as well as marketing print and online collaterals.
My job scope involves the stages of producing a publication/creative campaign: from conceptualisation, processing of materials, design and layout, proofing and ammendments, pre-press, press-checks, and many more.
I was exposed to basic technical knowledge in preparing materials of suitable formats, and working with software like photoshop, illustrator, indesign and acrobat. Adobe Indesign in particular, is what I used it to arrange the layout design. I learned various methods of using it that could go along with the things that I pictured it before hand. This indirectly have improved my skills on it.
In addition, the company also produced animation design, which also I have involved in. I've taken part in the beginning of the story board, adobes solfware to fabricate, voice over record and etc. I used six software to complete the task, which are Flash, Audition, After Effect, Photoshop and Media Encoder.
In conclusion, I enjoyed this the life and the process that I have gone through, which is not only do the things that interest me, but also to keep learning for self improvement.
