About Me

I have completed a Master of Public Policy at the University of Malaya where I focused on the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2013 – 2025 in relation to the Malaysian education system for students with disabilities for my Research Project. As a Deaf person growing up in Singapore and coming back to Malaysia for university studies, my life experience has been shaped by various cultures, education systems, and especially diverse viewpoints of the status and usage of sign languages in both countries. My career experience in different fields but closely connected to the Deaf community has been instrumental in my understanding of Deaf culture, personal identity and sign language communication. I am a keen storyteller, with a deep fascination for different cultures, languages and the Deaf community in general. I have over 12 years of professional experience in editing and proofreading for a wide variety of texts, and greatly enjoy the editorial & consultation process of making the stories shine.
