About Me

Patrick Ong, who has always been passionate about design solutions founded ID LAB in 2022.
He started his career more than a decade ago with his first stint as a design trainee in one of the country’s renowned interior design firm, Axis Network Design Consultants Sdn Bhd (“ANDC”). In 2011, he joined Blu Water Studio Sdn Bhd, another award winning design firm which was founded by the former partner of ANDC namely the illustrious IDr Lai Siew Hong. During his seven-year stint in Blu Water Studio, he was under the tutelage of the Chief Operations Officer, Ms Mak Sook Har.
When Vanke, a large residential real estate developer in China expanded its operations to Malaysia, Patrick decided to broaden his horizons in this Fortune Global 500 Company. He was involved in Vanke’s landmark project in Kuala Lumpur, a high rise condo that is a part of the mixed development with a GDV of RM 5 billion.
Over the years, Patrick has amassed extensive experience in the interior design industry namely hospitality, residential development and food and beverage outlets. His attention to details were tremendously valuable for the projects that he managed. He delivers excellent documentation by the efficient transfer of information and he has continuously explore and innovate new ideas and design. He is also adept at recognizing issue that requires escalation for decision-making.
