GMBB, KL: Friday (28th February 2025), The Degree in Digital Media and Degree in Graphic Design students from The One Academy came together to host their final-year combined Degree showcase, titled, "Conflux".
This is the second showcase organised by The One Academy in the year 2025, and it hosted the artworks of 28 graduating students from Degree in Digital Media and Degree in Graphic Design.
Conflux will be held at GMBB, KL's 5th Floor Showcase area from the 1st of March 2025 to 16th of March 2025. This is an opportunity to network with the futures of the design industry, as the students will be there throughout the showcase period.
About Conflux: DMD x GD Final Year Showcase
A confluence of two different design disciplines, bursting with streams of creativity and refreshing ideas. Through this merge, we adapt and become ready to take on any challenges in the industry.
Kicking off the Showcase
Conflux started the showcase with an opening ceremony on the 28th of February 2025, at Grey Box Event Space at GMBB, KL , Kicking it off with the various sponsors and GMBB event space partner.
Following the opening ceremony, the Head of Digital Media Design Department, Mr. Cheang Lin Yew, offered a heartfelt speech for the graduating students on the successful completion of their respective courses.
This was followed by a speech from the Head of Advertising Design Department, Mr. Yan Li Wen, who also gave the graduating students a great send-off, as they step into their respective careers.
Both Mr Lin Yew and Mr Li Wen also gave great industrial advise to the students, who will be entering into their careers soon.
Putting Concept And Processes Into Reality
The 28 Graduating Students from the Degree Batch who will be showcasing their creative works, consist of, UI/UX Design, Game Design & Augmented Reality, Animation, Packaging Design and More.
