Anneliza Zainal or Anne as I am called, am skilled and proficient in Communications, having managed and led organisations’ Public Relations, Crisis Communications, Branding, Customer Care and Customer Experience Surveys/Index (CES/CSI). My vast experience stretches across both Government Linked Companies, Multinationals, and across different industries.
Apart from a Bachelor of Education, Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL), I am also an accredited NLP Practitioner (ABNLP), Time Line Therapy® Practitioner, Master Class Trainer (BKi) and certified HRDF trainer.
My career started with two pioneering local companies, Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS) and Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad (TV3), which formed a strong foundation for Public Relations, Media Management and Crisis Communications. After almost four years of working with these Malaysian entities, I spent the next 12 years with multinationals and a local bank, where I helped to establish, propel and heighten the corporate image, build goodwill with their consumers, manage their reputational persona and mitigate arising crisis for Caltex Oil Malaysia Limited, Al Rajhi Bank and Maybank Investment Bank.
I then joined Malaysia Airlines Systems (MAS)/Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB), initially to manage the Corporate Communications and was later positioned to turn- around the airlines Customer Care, Service Quality and Call Centre, due to my innovative vision and branding prowess. I have also won several internal staff awards for some of my projects for safety, A380 EIS delivery and aircraft sweep programs. I had also volunteered as the airline’s Caregiver Manager, which saw me managing the care- givers for the Kudat Crash (October 2013), MH370 (March 2014) and MH17 (July 2014) incidents.
I am also recognised as someone who is innovative, results-oriented, a self-starter, team-player and one who continuously strives to improve skills and knowledge, in required/relevant fields. A believer in continuous learning, I attest to the fact that knowledge needs to be sought and the greatest resource of knowledge are from books and the wide web-world.
I am currently focusing on Crisis Communications & Customer Experience as it is becoming more pertinent in determining the retention, customer base growth & customer loyalty in the current, online & social media reliant business world.

I truly understand how difficult it is, as I had moved & worked in various industries ranging from Construction (PLUS Bhd), Broadcasting (TV3), Oil & Gas (Caltex Malaysia), Banking (Al Rajhi & Maybank) & Aviation (Malaysia Airlines) AND in various fields of communications & crisis management, i.e. Public Relations, Advertising & Promotions, Branding, Caregiver Management, Customer Care and Call Centre – just to gather the knowledge & experience to manage crisis communications.
My longest working tenure were in the highly volatile oil & gas & aviation industries, which gave me hands-on training to handle simulated & actual hands-on crisis events - the unforgettable experience of being in the field for MH370 & MH17 crash, managing Caregivers & the Next-of-Kins.
Responsible to launch Caltex brand re-imaging, Al-Rajhi Bank - the first, international Islamic bank & transition of Aseambankers into Maybank Investment Bank - I fully understand the importance managing the brand value in a crisis
