Jennifer Rodrigo’s writing skills were honed in the advertising industry where she was COPYWRITER for top international agencies – Leo Burnett, J.Walter Thompson, McCann Erickson, Lowe Lintas and more. She worked on many blue chip accounts including Coca Cola (for which she won a CLIO), Nestle, Gillette, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines, Metrojaya.
She left the Ad industry in the mid-eighties to travel around the United States where she gathered experience as a freelance feature/travel writer. Her credentials include The Asian Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Reader’s Digest, Going Places, The Star and many other local and international publications. She also authored a bestselling travel coffee-table book on Malaysia published by one of the world’s largest publishers, New Holland (“Malaysia the Beautiful”).
In 2000 she started her own video production company focusing on corporate, promotional, product and launch videos and short documentaries (organic farming; History Channel documentaries(Secrets of the South China Sea); Bukit Nanas Convent Anniversary Alumni; Unilever motivational videos and more).
From late 2017 to date, she has been the communications and brand manager of a Malaysian theatre company, representing and promoting it virtually.
Her forte is knowing how to instinctively connect with a target audience through different writing styles and content – you name it, she writes it.
